JPOA Background
Founded in 1990, the Japanese Pediatric Orthopaedic Association works to promote research and partnerships in pediatric orthpaedic specialities while providing information to the publics about the science of pediatric orthopedic.
The inaugural annual meeting of the JPOA was held its first year on November 16th, 17th at Tokyo. The JPOA now comprises over 1,200 members including medical doctors of University hospitals and children’s hospitals and medical facilities of pediatric orthopaedic.
Among its diverse activities, the JPOA provides research presentations and lectures, publishes bulletins in Japanese and English as well as books, maintains communications and partnership with domestic and overseas organizations, and conducts paediatric orthpaedics-related inquiries and studies.
